The internet is quickly changing the way real estate is bought and sold, but unfortunately, many small businesses and REALTORS, are slow to embrace new technology and use it in an efficient manner. In fact, the United States itself is running behind the times in internet usage and proliferation.

While most real estate offices across the country have a company website (92% according to 2007 NAR statistics), less than 25% of REALTORS are actually generating business from them. This is because they lack a basic understanding of the internet and the people who are using it to find their new home or land. Since a full 8 out of 10 real estate buyers today are using the internet to find property, Agents who do not have a keen understanding of the internet will be left behind and forgotten. And so will the homes and parcels they have listed.
